Community of Practice

Hands-on workgroups reviewing, co-designing, and implementing innovations in African higher education

Communities of Practice are collaborative workgroups where educators, administrators, and sector experts come together to design and implement solutions that strengthen higher education across Africa.

Through year-round engagement—including research, convenings, program reviews, and new initiative design, Communities of Practice support practical, context-driven improvements within member institutions. The Education Collaborative provides project-based funding to support this work.

Across thematic areas, Communities of Practice:

  • Develop and share proven approaches that institutions can adapt within their contexts
  • Design and implement programs that address key challenges in higher education
  • Create platforms for peer learning and knowledge exchange across the sector
